Safira Gems Ltd (SGL) is a UK based supplier of high quality sapphires and other gemstones. SGL also designs and manufactures bespoke jewellery in accordance with the client's ideas.

Our main source of supply is Sri Lanka, where some of the world's best quality sapphires, spinels, zircons and other gems are sourced.

SGL is owned and managed by both Amitha Gamage and Indrani Tennekoon. Amitha is based in Sri Lanka and is a qualified Lapidarist.

Amitha has been in the business for over 15 years and has established a successful business dealing in gems and jewellery design / manufacture in Sri Lanka, the USA and Japan. His experience and knowledge of gems and the gem industry will provide SGL with the ability to source gems and manufacture/design jewellery to the high standards that SGL adhere to.

Amitha is also a member of the International Coloured Gemstone Association (ICA) which is a non-profit association that represents the the international gem industry.
